This storybook unfolds the remarkable voyage of the Duyfken, an often-forgotten ship that sailed to Australia in 1605. Predating James Cook's famous Endeavour expedition by 164 years, this story strives to weave a captivating tale around a documented event often overlooked in our history.

In addition, it offers an immersive audio experience, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in the sounds of Australian wildlife and the rich, musical tapestry of Australian nature and culture. The interactive storybook features a user-friendly interface with play and pause buttons, giving users control over the narration. As you progress through each slide, keep your ears tuned to the sounds and try to identify the various noises and melodies.

The Animations were really nice!

Do you have any suggestions or feedback on how to improve this story?

You should make the sound a bit quieter. Not much, just a little. It looks like the mute button does not work correctly. Another thing you should improve is to provide a back-to-home button. I had to click backward through the story to reach the home page because I wanted to mute the sound. The pause narrator button looks like to is two, not one, buttons, which was confusing at the first moment.
I also saw that your navigation layout sometimes has different sizes.
You should add some more feedback to the user interactions, like a hover or sound effect when the reader hovers over the buttons or presses them.
You should also add some pagination or headlines to your pages matching your headlines in the main menu. It would make it easier for the reader to know where he is.

As you see, there is not much that I would improve in your situation. You created a really nice eBook. I liked interacting with it, and the animations and sound perfectly matched your theme. Your sprites are great to look at, and I liked to look at every detail of them. The small extra animations, like the rain, helped to create a really good atmosphere. You used the principle of proximity and a container on your first page to clearly indicate the group of navigation possibilities.
Your colour and sprite choice is excellent and matches the theme of your book.

I really like your book. Well done.

Cheers,

G.
